Arlen Konopaki is a Los Angeles based filmmaker.

His work has been featured at festivals around the world, including the Toronto International Film Festival, SXSW, Austin Film Festival, Stanley Film Festival, New York Television Festival, Woodstock Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival and more.

Arlen served as an associate producer on Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil and Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart. He is an executive producer of Hailey Bieber’s YouTube Channel and served as a producer and cinematographer on Kylie Jenner’s short form doc Inside Kylie Cosmetics. He directed, co-created and executive produced the series On Thin Ice for Bleacher Report and the NHL.

Arlen's work has been featured on IFC.com, House of Highlights, Splitsider, Complex, the Huffington Post, Bleacher Report and BuzzFeed. He has written digital content for Conde Nast Entertainment and has worked as a video producer/director and DP for GQ Magazine and Major League Baseball (MLB).

In collaboration with OBB Media, he has directed work for the NBA and Mountain Dew, WinView Games (featuring Blake Griffin) and an animated series based on Marilyn Monroe, released by DHX and featured on Marilyn Monroe's official website.

He was a co-executive producer on the Rolling Stone podcast Too Long Didn’t Watch which is hosted by Alan Sepinwall and features guests such as Jon Hamm, Alison Brie, Lena Dunham, Paul Scheer, Nick Offerman and many more.

As a cinematographer Arlen has filmed content for Spotify, Red Bull, Kylie Cosmetics, Canon, 818 Tequila, Above Average, The Kicker, Barnes & Noble, FreshPet, Cole Haan, GQ, MLB, Monster.com, Vox and more. He shot the feature 1 Night In San Diego which is distributed by 1091 Pictures and is currently available on Hulu. He also filmed Tankhouse featuring Christopher Lloyd and Richard Kind which was distributed by Vertical Entertainment and is available worldwide. Arlen has shot dozens of short films, which have screened around the world. He has filmed several web-series as well as the independent pilot for Rainbow Ruthie, which was featured at IFP Week and was an Official Selection at SXSW.

His first feature as a director is titled How To Ruin The Holidays and will be distributed by Buffalo 8 and will be available November 2023 in theaters and streaming. The film stars Amber Nash, Colin Mochrie, Aisha Tyler and Ronny Chieng.

Arlen is a Canadian Comedy Award winner for his short film work and has been nominated three additional times for his live performances and short films. A graduate of the BFA Acting Program at the University of Alberta, Arlen also holds a MFA in Film Directing and Cinematography from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
